Soooo, nach ein paar prüfungen und einem verschneiten wochenende mit wiebke in maribor, bin ich nun schon wieder unterwegs... fragt sich nur wo! ja wo mag die jule wohl demnächst auftauchen?
Spanien, istambul, iran... ??? wer weiß, wer weiß... ;)

Italy

i know it's crazy... but i just decidet on tuesday to go to italy on thursday. and so i did.
the reason is that i have real good frinds there, whom i haven't seen since 2years! and this is the only weekend where i could manege to visite them both. one lives in trento and is johanna, an old schoolfriend of mine and the otherone francesco with whome i had a great time in india.
so i took a 12hours journey to trento. italy! it's so special, i love this old nerrow towns with the big cathedrals...
so we meet some of hannas frinds- international again, of cause!
we went to a traditional X-mas market to drink punsh. next day, unbelivable: it was snowing!
before the trip i was joking with djordje: "no, i"m going to italy. there is no snow in italy!"
tjaja... "sometimes i comes like that" (one has to say this with an strong indian acsent)

with hanna i went to treviso/venice to meet francesco and his family! it is unbelivable how nicely and warm hearted we were...
i tell u more soon... but i have an exam tomorrow! but here the picturs:

Zagreb
letztes wopchenende habe ich mich auf den weg nach zagreb gemacht. eine slovenische freundin hat mich erst mit zu ihr nach hause genommen und so habe ich das laendliche slovenien kennengelernt. wunderschoen, ueberall huegel (fuer die norddeutschen unter euch: berge!) und kleine hoefe. ihre mama hat fuer uns den slovenisch gekocht: eine mischung aus kartoffelbrei und bratkartoffel *jammmjammm*
dannach habe ichj mich auf den weg nach zagreb gemacht. eine schoene stadt, tolle architecktur und grosse kirchen. abends wurde ich auf ein konzert eingeladen und habe eine menge nette leute kennengelert- couchsurfing sein dank ;) und so bin ich bei der irish-punk-band gelandet und wir haben uns ordentlich in das nachtleben zagrebs gestuerzt! was fuer ein wochenende!
tja als ich wieder zu hause war musste ich mich dann ziehmlich in meine uni sachen reinknien! schliesslich hatte ich schon wieder neue tolle plaene :P

last weekend i have been to zagreb, what a beautiful city! i really didn't expact so much nice architecture. it is worse a travel, for sure!
first a slovain frind of mine took me to her home in the rural area. slovenia is soooo beautiful with all the mountains and the little farms!
so her mother was cooking for us a traditional dish of potato *yamy-yamy*
than i took the train to zagreb and enjoyed the Saturday night life! i found someone to host me: a singer of an irish-punk-band. so i went to the concert, fucking great! thats what i miss in maribor!!! so you can imagine that i had a lot of fun with all this crazy people i met in that night.
but after i reached maribor, i realy had to work had on my university stuff, to get all the things done before my next adventure :P

soso liebe leute, nicht das ihr denkt ich mach hier nur party und reise rum. nein nein: ich büffel für statistik prüfung und bin ehrlich gesagt ein wenig verzweifelt, da ich den zweiten, also den komplizierten teil der vorlesung verpasst hab.
nun gut jetzt zu den tollen sachen:
ich bin letzte woche endlich dazu gekommen mir slovenien anzuschauen. ganz spontan bin ich mit djordje aus montenegro zusgezogen. weit sind wir nicht gekommen: lubljana war so toll, dass wir dort ein paar tage versackt sind und uns das schloß und den rest der wirklich wunderschönen stadt anzugucken. außerdem geht es da natürlich ein bisschen mehr ab als in maribor. es gibt ein herlich-bunt-alternatives punk/hippie/metal-viertel und da wollten wir gar nicht mehr weg.

ich bin dannach noch weiter richtung küste, weil ich schon wieder schmerzlich das große wasser vermisse. in koper an der adria war es wärmer, es gab palmen, oliven und kakis. einfach wunderbar die salzige luft zu riechen, möven zu sehn und auf dem morgens in der frühe auf dem fischmarkt die wundersamen meerestiere anzugucken.




ich wollte noch weiter die küste lang trampen, aber durch zufall kam es mal wieder anders. ich kam an einem bunt bemalten riesigen armetruck vorbei, mit kran oben drauf und zwei riesigen ersatzrädern. auf der fahrertür war eine landkarte gemalt mit den tourdaten der letzten 2jahre: spanien runter durch ganz afrika, nach arabien und rüber in den iran bis auf den balkan. ich konnt mir das anklopfen nich verkneifen und blieb ein tag bei dem typen um mir die storys aus der welt anzuhören.
also das mach ich auch mal wenn ich groß bin ;) da muss man nich immer alles auf´m rücken schleppen und bei 10°C im park pennen :P

heyho people, i´m so stressed! this statistic exam robbs my sleep. i wish i would have joined the lecture! but anyway i will manage.
now i tell you about my great last week. i went on a journey through slovenia with djordje, a frind of mine from montenegro. what a freak, full of energy and crazyness! was a good couple ;) so we just made it until ljubljana and were stucked there because it is sooo nice city! beautifull architecture and castles. also a big alternative place with squatted houses. u can understand why we didn´t wanna leave again ;) but after some days i had to go to c the sea! i miss the big water sooo much! so i went to koper at the adria and enjoyed the seaegals, palmtrees, olives and salty air. it was so nice. than i met this crazy guy from spain. he went in 2years from espain through africa, arabia and now balkan with this gigantic colored army-truck. i have to do that when i will be grown up ;) with this one dosen´t have to worry to sleep at 10°C in the park or freez the thumb for hours while hich-hicking :P

wir hatten hier die letzten tage so warmes sonniges wetter, traumhaft! das muss man nutzen, bevor der schnee kommt. also bin ich mit oskar (dem schweden aus meinem slovenisch kurs) und einer doktorantin aus der türkei bergsteigen gewesen. man war das ne tour, so richtig schön durch flüßchen, modder und an felsen entlanghangeln, mitten im bewaldeten naturschutz gebiert bis hin zu einem wasserfall. ich naturkind hatte riesigen spaß an dem schwedischem survival training!

the weather here is still so fucking great that i went for hiking in the mountains.
together with oskar (the swedish guy form my slovenien course) and a turkish girl we went through the forest up the hills, cliffs through the mud and little streams and i loved the little swedish survival excors!

hallo leute!
Es passiert hier natürlich viel und ich schaffe es gar nicht etwas in meinen blog zu schreiben. Darum nun die kurzfassung der letzten woche:

ich bin hier in der absoluten wein gegend und so kam es dass ich rein zufällig vom straßenrand eingesammelt wurde und mit auf eine weinverkostung im ****(*)hotel genommen wurde. Eigentlich kostete der eintritt 25eus, aber ich wurde da einfach rein geschleußt. Es war schon sehr interessant so etwas mal mit zu erleben. Schnieke gekleidete leute und alle schon mächtig angeschwippst von den vielen proben. Es gab auch öko-weine aus dieser region und ich habe mich nett mit den lokalen leuten unterhalten.

Auf einer party hab ich jemanden kennengelernt der für das öffentlich rechtliche fehrnsehen arbeitet und er hat mich eingeladen das sendehaus zu besichtigen. Ich konnte also hinter die kulissen gucken wie alles im studio gedreht und hinterher geschnitten wird. Auch 2radiosender haben hier ihren sitz... das war schon ein bisschen professioneller und ernster als bei LoHRO ;)

am freitag hatte ich die möglichkeit mit einem doktoranten nach wien zu fahren und mir eine veranstaltung über biodynamische LW anzuhören. Es war super spannend an der berühmten BoKu.
In der uni hingen überall poster von den auch zur zeit laufenden studentenprotessten und die teilnehmer der verantalltung sahen alle aus wie die ökohippies in wiz, wirklich sehr nett ;)
danach hab ich noch einen kumpel aus wiz besucht der gerade sein erasmus sem in wien macht.
Das zurücktrampen erwies sich als sehr zeitaufwendig... mir ist mein daumen fast abgefrohren. Letztendlich haben mich ein paar junge leute mitgenommen, die gerade von der hanf-messe kamen. Das nächste auto was mich mitnahm war voll mit punks... es war echt eine lustige reise und entschädigte mich für die 3stunden abgase am straßenrand einatmen ;)

jetzt sitze ich gerade in der uni und habe eine wichtige präsentation hinter mir, die echt gut gelaufen ist. Und heut abend werde ich mit leuten meines slovenisch kurses auf eine schnurrbart-party. Das wird bestimmt lustig!

Hello people!
Here is so much happening, that i never have time to update my blog. But now i give you a breefe overview about the happenings of the last week.

The area where i´m staying is famous for its vines, so it happend to me that i was picked up from the busstand by my coordinator just by chance and she took me to a vine tasting event in an high-class hotel. Normally one should have to pay 25€ entrance but she just got me in for free, somehow. I was so cool to see all the posh people, all little drunken. And of cause i also tried a lot of whine and started to talk to the local vine growers. There were also organic vine farmers.

One day i met a guy working for the public tv and he invited me to show me the whole studio. That was really interesting. I could have a look behind the cameras and see how the reports are made. There were also 2radiostations, which looked much more serious and professional than the local sender in my home town rostock, where i just to work a couple of times.

Last friday i have been to vienna. A phD from my faculty held an lecture about biodynamic farming in the famous university BoKu. It felled so good to see student-protesst posters everywhere and also the students looked all like the eco-hippies from wiz- i realy enjoyed the time there! After that i visited a frind of mine, who does the erasmus semester in vienna. As i wanted to hitch-hike back to solovenia i had to realise that it is not that easy in austria. It took me 3hours until a car with young people stopped. They came form an hemp-exabition and they where really kind. The next car which took me was full with punks. So you can imagine that i had a very great journey, which was worth to freeze so long at the side of the road.

Now i´m sitting in my faculty. Just done with an important presentation which went well.
Today i will catch up with some of my slovenien cours colleges and we will go to a moustache -party. i´m sure its going to be funny!

heyhey! kastanien, ueberall kastanien! und gluehwein!
seit tagen werden hier ueberall kostanjev piknik's veranstaltet: esskastanien auf einer feuertonne gegrillt und dazu gibts heissen weisswein mit nelken.
sogar an meiner fakultaet gings heute ab mit kostanjevs, akordeon und alkohol, mitten am tag. sogar die profs haben sich ein becherchen gegoennt. dazu war strahlender sonnenschein, der erste schnee oben auf unseren bergen und die bunten blaetter an den baeumen... richtig schoen!

chestnuts everywhere!!! and punsh! the slovens celerbrating an chestnut festival at the moment and one has to eat and drink everywhere- even at my faculty, in the middle of the day! i love the atmosphere of the fall! colorefull, cold, and sunshine!

Hallo ihr!
hier beginnt nun der herbst sich richtig zu zeigen: bunte blaetter, aber leider auch regen. nichts desto trotz gurke ich mit meinem fahrrad durch die gegend. es gibt immernoch viel zu organisiere, tausende registrationen, mein permanenten wohnsitz _(den ich heut morgen bezogen hab), meine faecher... aber es klappt alles ganz gut.
gestern hatte ich meine ersten slovenisch unterricht. es ist aehnlich dem russischen, alle die mich schon laenger kennen werden jetzt wohl tief seufzen... aber ich schaff das schon! es gibt ja kein druck, ich mach das voellig freiwillig!
sonst habe ich nicht wirklich vorlesung sondern treffen mit den profs. das ist einerseits schade, andererseits echt nett. endlich bin ich mal die auslaendische studentin die alle aufmerksamkeit bekommt ;)
meine fakultaet ist ein richtiges schlosschen und voll modern (siehe foto). wunderschoen gelegen, 10km ausserhalb Mb am wald und weinhaengen.
da ich nicht jeden tag da hin muss ist die entfehrnung ok. mal gucken wie hart der winter wird, aber es gibt ja auch einen bus.

ich hab jetzt auch die anderen erasmus studis kennengelernt... und da gehts echt ab. party,party,party! einige von ihnen waren noch nicht einmal an ihrer fakultaet. gut das die partys nicht ganz so meinen musikgeschmack treffen, somit bekomm ich doch ein bisschen schlaf ;)

hey everybody!
the autumn starts here now: colorful leaves and also rain. but anyway i'm cycling with my bike through the town. i still have to organize a lot of thigs- registration stuff and my new dorm. but everything works out well and the people are really nice and helping a lot. yesterday i had my first slovainian lecture... quite hart, but i will manage. actually i don't have lectures but rather meetings with the profs. so now i'm finally one of this foreign students who gets the attention of the teachers ;) my faculty is 10km outside of the city in a beatifull landscape between forest and wine hills. at the moment i'm cycling there, but if the snow start i will have to take the bus.
i also got to now the other erasmus students now- its a big party team! i think most of them are not here for studies.

sooo, nun bin ich also in slovenien angekommen. die sonne scheint und ich hab schon einen kater von letzter nacht. gutes zeichen ;)
ich wohn im studentenwohnheim und hab gestern auch gleich ein paar nett menschen kennengelernt. obwohl ich noch voellig fertig von dem punkkonzert in wiz und der reise war, haben sie mich mitgeschleppt in den alternativsten schuppen maribors.
die stadt ist klein und schoen, ein guter mix. ein bisschen wie eine kleine bergstadt mit osteuropaeischen einfluss, aber trotzdem modern und sauber ohne versnobbt zu sein. ich glaub ich halte es hier ganz gut aus ;) mit deutsch kommt man hier fast besser ueber die runden als englisch.
die stadt hat keine hohe berge, nur rings rum. dafuer fliesst ein grosser fluss durch die stadt, an welchem ich heute spazieren war. hab doch glatt den lokalen markt gefunden und erstmal viel gemuese eingekauft. morgen gibts einen flohmarkt, hoffenlich finde ich dort ein fahrrad. ein topf waere auch brauchbar ;) da in meiner kueche noch nix vorhanden ist.
montag werd ich denn zur uni und einen riesen haufen orga abarbeiten.

soooo, i finally arrived in maribor. the sun is shining and i have allready a hang over from last night. for the moment i'm staying in a studants dorm. and ofcause i met nice people here who took me for party even if i still was excausted from the punkconcert and from the journey but they took me to the most alternativst place... and it was goood!
the city is quiet nice, little and between hills, modern but still with a big easteuropean toughe. i like it. today i had a walk along the river which is flowting through the city. i found a marked with homegrown vegies and tomorrow there will be a fleamarket. so i hope to find a bike there and hopefully also a pot, because there isn't any stuff in my kitchen.
on monday i will have to organice all the organisation stuff at the university.
